Proven development experience in Hadoop and Big Data Development, preferably Cloudera Hadoop Distribution)
Good written and oral communication skills
Goal oriented structured thinking and effective organizational skills
Applied knowledge of several Big Data technologies, practices and analytical approaches, including:
Security implementation e.g. Kerberos nd Impala/Spark
Decent knowledge of other programming tenets in this sphere like Spark, Java, Pig, Hive, MR
Knowledge of various HDFS file formats.
Experience of data quality and working on large scale data ingestion
Experience of Meta data management and Data Catalogue
Understands TDD, BDD, Unit testing methodologies.
Exposure to real-time analytics, NoSQL Data stores and distributed RDBMS
Dev Ops (Ansible, Atlassian, Agile, Docker, CI/CD, UNIX SA, Scripting, AWS/Cloud)
